Gourmet cooking for the avid cook on DVD films

The last 10 years has been a good time for chefs on the television, gone are the days when Delia Smith was on our television screens with practical cooking advice. There is now a new generation of chefs and these chefs mean business. Nigela Lawson has made cooking sexy, and she not only appeals to men but also to women with her quick and convenient recipes – using tinned food and easy grab sauces to make fabulous food. Anthony Worrall-Thompson became a household name along with Ainsley Harriett on Ready Steady Cook, basically they got given so many items which cost under £5.00 and were asked to cook up a recipe in a matter of so many minutes. At first it was celebrities that used to join them on the show but over time it became members of the public, all money raised went to the winning contestants charity, whilst Ainsley and Anthony made money from their name.

Jamie Oliver was first known as the Naked Chef for his non-fussy approach to cooking, but over the years he too has made a lot of money from his name and has progressed on to hosting a string of TV cooking programmes, the latest of which was his attempt to get Rotherham cooking in the Ministry of Food, by his own admission this was a tall order, and although he did well and taught a lot of people the art of cooking, he needed a lot more input in order that the whole of Rotherham and eventually Britain came off the takeaways and onto home cooked meals.

Gordon Ramsey has got to be one of the biggest celebrity chefs out there at the moment, he hosts many cookery programmes including Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares, Hells Kitchen, The F Word to name but a few. His foul language has often got him in to trouble over the years but the viewers like him, and hire episodes though online video rental (Fairy Film) services to hear him shouting at another unfortunate victim.

Although these chefs have made much of their money from books and television, they also release DVDs to give people a taste of their recipes, DVD films (DVD Filme) on cooking are available on the internet through online video library (Online Videothek).
